Instrumental music- user pay
Two private music providers provide an opportunity for students to learn a musical instrument in school time or after school. This is a user-pay programme.
Before any instrumental music teacher works with NPS students we ensure they meet all of the departmental screening requirements.
The two providers are Robert Brown who offers recorder, fife and flute lessons and IMS who offer
Robert Brown - To enrol contact Robert Brown 8431 0452 or email robbrown@adam.com.au.
Recorder, fife and flute lessons at Nailsworth Primary School are provided by Robert Brown. Individual lessons are $25 per half hour; group lessons are $12 per student per half hour (2-3 students). All music lessons require a commitment for the whole school year. A descant recorder costs $10; Yamaha YRS-24B recorders are recommended. A plastic fife (Yamaha YRF-21) costs about $27 which is a good introduction to playing the flute. Flutes can be hired; please contact Robert Brown for more information. If you decide to buy a flute please talk to Robert Brown first.
