SAPSASA
At the start of each year, the Year 4-7 students have the opportunity to nominate their expression of interest in a variety of School Sport SA, (SAPSASA) Knockout sports and carnivals on offer during the year.
Year 6 and 7 students: Knockout competition and carnivals on offer- soccer (girls and boys), netball (girls) football (girls and boys) cricket (boys), basketball (girls and boys), lacrosse (girls and boys) and athletics (girls and boys)
Year 4 and 5 students: lacrosse (girls and boys), tennis (girls and boys) and athletics (girls and boys)
If there is enough participants in the above sports than we nominate to enter in the competition/carnival.
Students generally will need to trial to get selected in their chosen sport and if selected commit to attend regular trainings before or after school in the lead up to the event.
Year 4 to 7 students also have the opportunity to nominate to participate in individual SAPSASA sports, swimming and cross country.
All Year 4 to 7 students in their PE lessons have the opportunity to qualify in their age for the school athletic team to participate at the annual North Adelaide Athletics Day at Santos Stadium. Events on offer - shot put, discus, high jump, long jump, 100m, 200m, 800m and relay. Students who win at Santos are invited to the State Day Finals.
North Adelaide District Teams Year 6 and 7 Students: During the year, the North Adelaide District Convenor, sends out to the sports coordinator a nomination form to select students with above average ability and experience, to try out for the North Adelaide District Team. Students nominated generally go out to 3 trials and if selected play in a 4 day carnival against other districts. There is a cost if selected.
District Sports: soccer, netball, cricket, football, hockey, tennis
